In most areas of the country, no state or local law requires you to purchase a container to surround the casket in the grave. However, many cemeteries have rules requiring you to purchase a container to keep the cemetery maintenance at a minimum. Outer burial containers range in price from $810 to $15,000. A complete list will be provided at the funeral home. |
