CASKETS A complete list will be provided at the funeral home. Caskets range in price from $495 to $15,000. In most areas of the country, no state or local law requires you to purchase a container to surround the casket in the grave. However, many cemeteries have rules requiring you to purchase a container to keep the cemetery maintenance at a minimum (see Outer Burial Container List).
